Leggings — overview

Cotton-lycra, churidar and ankle-length leggings in wide colour ranges for retail, wholesale and private-label brands. It belongs to our women's & ethnic wear range, part of the garments & apparel division of Hurain Garments Exporter.

India is the natural source for women's ethnic and fusion wear. Jaipur, Surat, Delhi, Kolkata and Ludhiana combine block printing, embroidery, rayon and cotton weaving with fast, flexible sewing units, so designs can move from sketch to container in weeks. We supply kurtis, leggings, tops, dresses, abayas and kaftans to boutiques, diaspora stores, wholesalers and fashion brands.

Women's wear is design-led, so we work in small design runs: a buyer can order twenty styles of 300 pieces rather than two styles of 3,000. Every design is sampled, graded and photographed before it is cut, and size sets are packed to the buyer's market.

About our leggings

Leggings are among the highest-volume garments we ship, bought by wholesalers in Africa and the Gulf and by retailers in Europe and North America. Their economics depend on consistent stretch, colour and fit across thousands of pieces, which is why we source from units that knit and dye their own jersey.

A good legging holds its shape after fifty washes, stays opaque when stretched, and has a waistband that does not roll. We test for all three, and we reject lots where recovery or opacity falls below the agreed standard.

Because colours are the main variable, we recommend a stock palette of 20–30 colours with a few seasonal additions, so you can reorder the best sellers in smaller lots with a short lead time.

Leggings: fabrics, sizes and colours

Sizes: Free size (fits S–L), XL–3XL, and numeric sizing 26–40 inches; plus-size 4XL–6XL on request.

Colours: 50+ solid colours, melange and prints; dyed to Pantone in bulk.

  • Cotton-lycra 95/5 jersey 200–240 GSM
  • Viscose-lycra for soft drape
  • Polyester-spandex for sportswear leggings
  • Brushed fleece-lined jersey for winter

Construction and finishing of leggings

  • Wide elastic waistbands with gusset
  • Flat-lock seams that sit smooth on skin
  • Four-way stretch with good recovery
  • Opaque cover tested for squat transparency
  • Optional gusset and inside drawcord

When buyers order leggings

Leggings sell all year; fleece-lined styles peak for autumn-winter orders placed May–August.

Minimum order: Typically 1,500–3,000 pieces per container colour mix; 500 pieces per colour for stock jersey. Lead time: 25–35 days; 20 days on repeat colours.

Testing and care labelling

Care: Machine wash cold, inside out, do not tumble dry high; avoid fabric softener.

  • Stretch and recovery tests
  • Colour fastness to washing and rubbing
  • Pilling resistance
  • Opacity check at full stretch

Leggings made in bulk to your colour, size and design

You are not limited to stock designs. We make leggings in bulk in the colour you choose, in the sizes and size ratio your customers wear, and in the design you supply. A reference garment, a tech pack, a sketch or even a photograph is enough to start.

How it works: send a Pantone code or fabric swatch for colour and we return a lab-dip; send your size chart and the ratio you want in each carton; send artwork, print, embroidery or label files for the design. We make a sample for approval and then produce the bulk to that approved sample, so the order you receive matches the one you signed off.

  • Colour: 50+ solid colours, melange and prints; dyed to Pantone in bulk.
  • Size: Free size (fits S–L), XL–3XL, and numeric sizing 26–40 inches; plus-size 4XL–6XL on request.
  • Design and branding: custom colours and prints, private-label waistband labels, own packaging and header cards and special waist and length patterns.

FAQ

Leggings — frequently asked questions

What fabric is best for everyday leggings?

Cotton-lycra jersey of about 220 GSM with 5% elastane gives the best balance of comfort, opacity and durability.

Do you offer free-size leggings?

Yes. Free-size leggings fit roughly S–L and are the most common wholesale pack; we also supply numeric and plus sizes.

Can leggings be dyed to my colour?

Yes. We dye to Pantone references from about 500 pieces per colour, after a lab dip is approved.

Can I order many designs in small quantities?

Yes. Women's wear is usually ordered in design runs of 200–500 pieces, so a container can hold many styles and colourways.

Do you offer plus sizes and size-set packing?

Yes. We grade up to 5XL and pack in S–XL, M–3XL or plus-size sets, depending on what sells in your market.

What is the minimum order quantity for leggings?

Typically 1,500–3,000 pieces per container colour mix; 500 pieces per colour for stock jersey. The exact MOQ is confirmed in the quotation for your fabric, colours and size ratio.

Do you export leggings to my country?

Yes. We export leggings worldwide, with the strongest demand in the Gulf, Africa, Europe and North America, by sea (FCL or LCL) or air. Tell us your destination port and we will quote CFR or CIF.

Can I get samples of leggings before a bulk order?

Yes. We send fabric swatches, a lab-dip and a made-up sample with a measurement sheet so you can check fabric, fit and finish before confirming a bulk leggings order. Sample and courier charges are usually adjusted against the main order.

What documents are supplied with an export order of leggings?

Commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading or airway bill as standard, plus test reports, OEKO-TEX or social-compliance documents, or fumigation certificates where applicable.

What are your payment terms?
